So we got together with the knuckleheads over at Testun and decided to make a wine for them. With our initial plans of a molto buono flottaison-grenache-shiraz-cab-mac-miracle being dashed by a mouse bomb we pivoted to something pretty fricking fantastico.

A cheeky blend of the Chateau da Swan Grenache parcel (71%) and the carbonically macerated Grenache parcel (29%). Who would have thought that such simplicity in winemaking comes such eccitazione.

It certainly the most beautifully hued wine we produced this vintage - dazzling like a brooch festooned with just too many garnets and rubies.

Sweet and alluring on the naso. Fragrant and fresh, like a subtle dew kissed rose petal. Beguiling and ethereal.
Guaiava on the palate.
Its like a good version of a chianti.
A more subtle version of barbera.
Like a refreshing Barolo or a red soave.
A less boring nerello mescalese.
A more structured montepulciano.
With far less VA than a ribolla gialla.
Like a family tradition but without the stuffiness. Lifted rose nose, punchy on the palate.
Stronzo and vino at the same time, but also Rosso.
